Ah what a mess. First Jude gets accidentally pregnant: as luck
would have it, her mate was another papered lab Argus, who owns a pair of our customers. I can only imagine that
the romance of the winery and our Cellar Party overcame the two. And then comes December 31st, 2001, when Jude starts
popping out 8 little UGLY puppies!! Well, just so happens that Santa (aka, my Mom and Pop) decided that we
needed a digital camera for Christmas. The combination has proven to be deadly as now there
are more than 40 pages of puppy pictures taking up file space on our website server. I have recently
gone through our entire site revamping the set-up, adding a little style this time plus a lot more background
organization that you'll never see, except for maybe in the form of faster downloads and more efficient web site management in the future.
All is now done including these 40 odd pages of PUPPY PICTURES. This page your'e at was created for several reasons:
- Provide a starting point that requires a minimal download time.
- Provide a little background of how the puppies and the puppy pages came to be.
- Provide an emotional outlet for me. I've spent the past week or so pounding out this new site, learning two new website technologies, and rearranging a lot of files and pictures.
- Allow me a chance to test out a way to present all the links without being a confusing mess.
- Provide you with a little explanation of just what all these links mean.

Ok, I started out using a "D" in front of every page to signify which "D"ay the pictures were taken.
As you will see, there are some gaps in the sequence and not every day has a picture. But we'll stick with the "D" just for
consistencie's sake.
So each of the "D" numbers is a page, from "a" day of the puppies life. At around D40, most all of the puppies
were placed, with the exception of Abbey(aka "LB" or later "Lucy"). Our good friends, Steve and Karen, were ill at the
time the pups were 8 weeks, so we quite willingly held onto her for a couple of extra weeks. Also, Luke, the
largest yellow, was coming back for "puppy day care" for several weeks past. A few
pictures were taken of this period also.
The volume of pictures tapered off dramatically at D40, and I've been rather remiss at adding any
recently (been working on other things like wine and web site). I expect to add some on a regular basis
but those web pages beyond what are complete will show a "not yet ready" notice when accessed. There will be no
rhyme or reason to the addition, so you'll just have to check back every day to see if
there are any additional pictures ;^D
I hope you will enjoy the folly of photos as much as we have enjoyed presenting them. Please feel free to
send us your comments. We love to hear that there's actually someone out there!
