Their focus is on the customer and wine, plus providing a serene environment for both.They invite everyone to come enjoy the pristine 72 acre estate including a wine garden, hiking trails, river access and the wide array of wine and sundries available.

But for the moment, Katie and Clyde welcome you into a virtual visit of their little corner of the world. There are more pictures on the Tour page, plus a new "Latest" page with current happenings, with much of the rest of the site being self explanatory. Clyde and Katie Gill acquired the winery in 1998. Driven by the desire to express themselves in the form of wine, both left the security of employment at Missouri's largest winery to take on the adventure called Peaceful Bend.

Katie's background in viticulture stems from a degree in horticulture, specializing in grape growing (called viticulture) from Michigan State University.

Clyde learned to make wine from an extensive apprenticeship coupled with aggressive self study and attendance to a handful of short courses and seminars on winemaking.

Their wedding was held at Peaceful Bend in the Spring of '99, spawning the new slogan of:

"The Perfect Marriage
of
Vineyard and Cellar"

Jude is their main employee with her primary duty being

"Official Guest Greeter"
