Kite Day at Peaceful Bend

Even though wine's not for kids, the vineyard can be. Clyde and Katie have provided a couple events at the winery for the entire family (watch for the haunted house coming this fall). Kids of all ages are able to enjoy the kite day at the vineyard edge. An open field, warm breezes, sunshine and hot dogs make for a gala event for all. Here's a couple of big kids! Brian Guile is a nationally ranked competitor and is pictured here flying one of his big ones: and then the big kite flies Brian!! Clyde gets in on the fun and helps launch one of the controllable sport kites. The day's events were full of kite flying expeditions, the ever-popular candy drop, and plenty of "free" time to learn how to fly some of these "high tech toys". |
