August, 2000Our
first full line up of wine was entered into the 2000
Missouri Wine Competition. We donned the year as
"The Bronze Age" at Peaceful Bend, as five of
the seven wines entered received Bronze Medals. Given the
relative youth of our business combined with, shall we
say, the "rudimentary" level of equipment
available (romantically and accurately referred to as
"hand crafted"), we have been quite elated with
the results.
August, 2001
Once again our wine quality has been
recognized with another 4 Bronze medals being awarded in
2001 to the same wines that won last year. In addition,
our favorite estate wine, the Meramec made from
Chamboucin, received a Silver Medal.
November, 2001
The list continues with the entry of
three of our favorite wines into the American Wine
Society's 2001 Competition. The Barrel Fermented
Chardonel lead the way with a Silver Medal, accompanied
by both the Meramec and the Whittenburg with Bronze
recognition. These wines were judged along side some of
the finest wines in the United States.
